Novatia - Our History and an Introduction
Novatia was established in January of 2000 by a group of analytical chemists: two mass spectrometrists, Dr. Mark Hail and Jeff Whitney, and a NMR spectroscopist, Dr. Dave Detlefsen.
The
business plan of Novatia can best be described as blended. This
blend consists of analysis of client samples and the development of
products. When considering the sample analysis portion, our work centers
on mass spectrometry and NMR. But the exciting part about Novatia
is that our sample analysis work inspires and defines our product development.
We call these products "total solutions" or "applications". A
Novatia application is a turn-key solution utilizing commercially
available hardware equipped with the necessary methods and software to
produce a dedicated, specific, and laboratory-tested product. A
prime example of this would be the OligoHTCS,
which sells as a stand-alone Novatia product offering, but also serves
Novatia daily in our contract analysis business (Novatia runs oligonucleotides from all over the world). We like to say "we always eat our own cooking".
Novatia seeks to provide exceptional service to
our clients needing mass spec and NMR support. Complementing our
clients' existing resources, or providing analytical expertise and
access to unique technologies (e.g., CapNMR) is our business and our passion. Welcome
