From the ProMass Home Page Settings menu you can choose to:
Show or Hide the
ProMass console. The default setting is Show.
The ProMass console window is active whenever ProMass is processing data.
When set to Show, the ProMass console
will be displayed as the foreground window on the desktop. If
set to Hide, the ProMass console will run in a minimized
state, available from the windows task bar. You may find it useful to set
this option to Hide during automatic processing if you
want to avoid having the console constantly pop up while you are trying to
perform other Windows tasks.
Set the ProMass Task
Priority to Normal or Low. The default
setting is Normal. Setting the task priority to
Low may be useful if you want to automatically process data
while acquiring data and want to prevent ProMass from consuming excessive system
resources.
Show
or Hide Error Messages. The default
setting is Show. You may find the
Hide error messages setting to be useful when performing
automated processing, which will allow ProMass to continue processing samples
even after an error has occurred. With Error Messages
setting set to Show, when ProMass encounters an error that
prevents processing of a sample, a dialog prompt is displayed, temporarily
halting processing of the data until the user clicks on the OK button within the
dialog box. Alternatively, the Hide setting will instruct
ProMass to log the error and to continue processing the remaining
samples in the list. Any errors that have been logged can be
reviewed by accessing the Tools | Error Logs | View menu item
from the ProMass Home Page.
