the Reporting tab
of the Build Znova Parameter File screen.ProMass can automatically produce an Excel summary for samples processed through the Xcalibur sample list. The ProMass Excel Summary provides a convenient way to provide a concise summary of results.
In order for ProMass to produce an Excel summary for a list of samples, you need to:
Ensure that the Use Excel Summary checkbox is checked in your parameter file, which is set on
the Reporting tab
of the Build Znova Parameter File screen.
Process your data from the Xcalibur sample
list as usual. ProMass will search in the results directory for an
Excel file with the ProMass format. The results will be automatically
entered on the RESULTS sheet as shown by the example below. If ProMass
does not find an existing Excel report, it will create a new one called
promass_results.xls .
The ProMass Excel
summary lists entries according to the Sample ID's that are entered into
the Xcalibur sample list. Therefore, you should ensure that any Sample
ID's entered are unique for each sample. If you do not want to enter
Sample ID's, you can leave them blank and ProMass will use the data file names
as the Sample ID's.
