ProMass Deconvoluted Spectrum Report

Manual (interactive) processing is initiated from the Build ZNova Params screen and involves deconvolution of single ESI mass spectra. The spectrum report is automatically launched in the default web browser window when deconvolution of a spectrum is complete. The resulting report is very simple. It contains a summary table, a graphic of the original ( baseline-corrected) ESI mass spectrum, a deconvoluted spectrum, and a deconvoluted spectrum zoomed around the base peak mass. Simply click on hyperlinks within the report to navigate to the various regions of the report. The ESI spectrum is also labeled with the charge states of the most abundant components.

Navigation links allow you to quickly move around the report.  Hyperlinked options available from the ProMass deconvolution report are:

[<<] - Navigate to the base directory.

[Top] - Go to the top of the report page.

[ESI Mass Spectrum] - View the ESI mass spectrum.

[Deconvolution] - View the deconvoluted mass spectrum.

[Zoom Deconvolution] - View the zoomed deconvoluted mass spectrum. The width of the zoom is set by the output zoom range parameter in the ZNova parameter file.

[Deconvolution Peak Report] - View a peak table for the deconvoluted mass spectrum.

[Log File] - View a log file containing all deconvolution parameters.

[View Data] - View the ESI and deconvoluted spectra in ProMass DecView .

The screen capture shown above shows the deconvoluted and zoom deconvoluted mass spectra of hemoglobin from the ProMass spectrum report.

A typical Deconvolution Peak Report is shown below.  The columns are sortable by clicking a column header.  For example, clicking the Mass (Da) column header will sort the table by mass.  The sorted column is shaded slightly darker than the other columns, as shown by the Intensity column below.  Clicking an already sorted column will reverse the sort.
