Company questions:

  1. What does Novatia actually do?  The best way to describe Novatia is that we are "analytical applications experts".  We work with instrument vendors, instrument users, and analysis clients.  We develop methods and technologies (protocols, software, hardware, etc.) in setting up our own analyses.  We can offer these analyses as services to those clients who do not have the relevant instrumentation or analytical capabilities.  Other end users may be interested in these methods or technologies so that they can perform their own analyses using our proven methods.  We help these users through our product offerings, consultation, and/or custom development projects.  We also collaborate with instrument vendors who are interested in adapting their particular instrumentation for specific applications.  Instrument vendors may also be interested in our analysis solutions as part of their own product line.  Here's a shorter version of the above: "we'll run it for you in our lab, we'll help you run it in your lab, or we'll help you build it to make sure that everybody can run it".
  2. What experience does Novatia have? Novatia has extensive experience in the area of instrumentation and applications development. Novatia principal investigators have worked in the analytical instrumentation, pharmaceutical, and combinatorial drug discovery industries. A summary of our Expertise is available. You can get additional details about our background on our Bio Info page.
  3. How did you come up with the name Novatia?  The name Novatia (nO-vAy-sha) was derived from combination of the words innovation and analytical.  We are analytical people and we try to be as innovative as possible at all times, mainly because we really like what we are doing.  Note: Even though our names look similar, Novatia is not affiliated with Novartis.
