ProMass Northeast 2007 User's Meeting
Who? Novatia and Thermo Fisher Scientific are pleased to announce our first Promass User's Meeting!
What?
The ProMass User's Meeting will give an overview of the ProMass Deconvolution program and will show the user how to get the most out of this powerful data analysis tool. Current users of ProMass as well as those considering the purchase of the software are invited to attend. In an effort to keep the meeting highly interactive, registration will be limited to less than 8 people per session. Agenda:
- Coffee and Danish: 8-9 AM
- Technical Session: 9-11:30 AM
Technical Session Overview:
- General information and features of the ProMass Deconvolution program
- Basic operations: User-interactive deconvolution of mass spectra
- Optimizing deconvolution parameters to get the highest quality results
- How to set up fully-automated deconvolution with ProMass from Xcalibur
- Automated analysis application examples
- Wrap up, Q & A session (Optional: you are invited to bring a data set of interest (non-confidential please) for class examples. Use a CD or USB flash drive to bring your Xcalibur raw files with you.)
When?
Please pick one of the following dates:
- Tuesday, January 30, 2007
- Wednesday, January 31, 2007
- (an optional date on Feb. 1 is being considered, depending on registration)

How?
There is no charge for the meeting. However, you must register by emailing Kathleen Anderson or Jerry Pappas of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Please let us know in your email to us your preferred date of attendance (either 1/30/07 or 1/31/07). After registering, if you later decide that you cannot attend, please email Kathleen or Jerry to cancel. We look forward to meeting you!
